Boston Red Sox lose to the Yankees 6-2 on the 100th anniversary of the opening of Fenway Park.

Before the game, more than 200 former Ed Sox players, managers and coaches take the field, John Williams conducts members of the Boston Pops in his Ode to Fenway, and Mayor Tom Menino, Thomas Fitzgerald and Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg (the grandson and great granddaughter of former Mayor John F. Fitzgerald) throw out ceremonial first pitches.
