A penthouse condominium is listed for rent at $52,000 a month at the Mandarin Oriental Residences. The figure exceeds the previous record, which was for the penthouse at the Ritz-Carlton Residences, where the asking rent was $30,000 and eventually rent was $$28,500 in 2007. The owner of the 6,829-foot Mandarin penthouse had bought it for $13.1 million in 2008, Wilbur Development LLC, and sells it for $13.2 million in 2011.
