Menino (D), with 63,123 votes, defeats Boston City Councilor Michael Flaherty (D), with 46,768, to win an unprecedented fifth consecutive four-year term as mayor of Boston. Voter turnout is 111,067 or 31.2%. (111,190-BGL)
