Jamaica Pond Bench is dedicated.

(May) Artist: Matthew Hincman. It is located along Jamaica Pond near Pond Street. A piece of “guerrila art,” it was installed at dawn by the Massachusetts College of Art professor and it took more than a week before the city notices its presence. While at first glance it looks like all of the other benches around the pond, on closer inspection it turns out be made up of two backs that curl to meet one another and canot accomodate sitters. After first removing the bench, city officials relent and return it to the spot where it was installed.
