Dr. Linda Buck of Harvard Medical School receives the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine

She receives the award along with Dr. Richard Axel of Columbia University for their work in discovering odorant receptors and the organization of the olfactory system, which helps explains the sense of smell.
