South End Open Market is established.

Founded by Chris Masci, the summer-long market consists of farm stands, food truck, and craft stands, is located along Harrison Avenue. After a dispute with local developer Mario Nicosia, the market moves to a vacant lot further west on Harrison Avenue in 2016 and is supplanted by Nicosia’s SoWa Open Market in 2017.
