Honan-Allston Branch Library (third) opens.

Architect: Machado & Silvetti Associates. Designed in the Modernist style, the stone, wood, and glass building is located at 300 North Harvard Street. It is renamed to honor the late Boston City Councilor Brian Honan on March 13, 2003.
