Regal Fenway opens.

Originally the General Cinema Fenway, it is located in the Landmark Center (the former Sears Roebuck Building) at 201 Brookline Avenue. The first movie theater built in Boston since 1984, it contains 13 screens and its theaters seat a total of 3,100. The two largest screens, 62 and 56 feet wide, are the first large screens in Boston since the Charles Theatre closed in 1994.
