Roxbury Preparatory Charter School is established.

Founded by John King and Shradha Patel, it is located initially the former Resthaven Nursing Home at 120 Fisher Avenue. The school begins with 75 students in Grade 6. Patel is the first principal. Additional campuses open at 206 22 Regina Road in 2011, 206 Magnolia Street 2012, and a high school at 86 Wachusett Street in 2015. The school recently announced plans to build a new building at 69 – 71 Proctor Street.
