Dredging of Boston Harbor begins.

The 11-mile channel from Finn’s Ledge to the confluence of the Chelsea and Mystic Rivers is deepened to 40 feet and completed in 2008. Dredging of the Reserved Channel from Finn’s Ledge to the Conley Terminal to a depth of 47 feet is completed in 2022.
