Wheelchair racer Jean Driscoll fails in her attempt for a record eighth straight victory when her chair becomes caught in the trolley tracks at Cleveland Circle and gets a flat tire. She loses the race in two photo finishes in the next two years to Australian Louise Sauvage, but eventually wins for the eighth time in 2000.
