Ibram Hussein of Kenya (2:08:43) and Rosa Mota of Portugal (2:24:30) are the winners of the Boston Marathon.

Hussein, the first African to win the Boston Marathon, wins by one second in one of the closest races in history. Afterwards, Boston Marathon race director Dave McGillivray runs the first of what become annual post-race runs along the marathon course.
