Hammersley’s opens.

Operated by Gordon Hammersley and Fiona Hammersley, it is located on Tremont Street. One of the first of a wave of chef-owned restaurants to open in Boston in the next few decades, it soon moves across the street to its eventual location at 553 Tremont Street. The restaurant closes in October 2014.
