Boston Greenspace Alliance is established.

(Aug.) An umbrella group of several dozen neighborhood organizations and the Boston Parks Department, its offices are subsequently located at 44 Bromfield Street. Its purpose is to improve parks and open spaces in the city. Edward Cooper is the first president.
