Macintosh Computer is demonstrated at the Boston Computer Society.

Steve Jobs orchestrates the first public demonstration of the Mac at John Hancock Hall. He had first shown it to Apple shareholders in Cupertino, California, a few days earlier. According to society member Dan Bricklin, the Boston event “was the start of a tech genre” and “a part of getting our industry into the regular world.”
