Improv Boston opens in Cambridge.

[1983-BH] Founded by Ellen Holbrook, the comedy troupe performs initially at Riley’s Beef & Pub and the other local bars. It becomes a non-profit institution and moves to a small theater in Central Square in 1994, where it hosts weekly performances, along with workshops and classes, and closes on December 31, 2023
