WBZ talk show host Dave Maynard saves a suicidal caller.

Maynard and his guest keep the caller on the line for almost any hour until police are able to get to the man’s house and help him. The caller had phoned in shortly after 1 a.m., said that he had just swallowed 50 Coumadin tablets and downed a bottle of vodka, and wanted to talk to Maynard’s guest, Dr. Ari Kiev, the author of a recent book for those considering suicide.
