Bob Lobel begins his career as a sportscaster at WBZ.

The New Hampshire native begins as a sportscaster on WBZ radio and moves to television in 1979. Lobel becomes known for his wry humor and banter with news anchor Liz Walker. He delivers his final sportscast on April 29, 2008. Lobel and longtime WCVB sports anchor Mike Lynch team up to launch a weekly podcast in 2019.
