Where’s Boston? opens.

June 20, 1975

Artist: Cambridge Seven Associates. Created for the Bicentennial celebration of 1976, the multi-media exhibit is shown in a specially-built pavilion red, white, and blue-striped pavilion in the courtyard of the Prudential Center. It consists of 3,097 slides shown by 42 projectors on eight 10’x10′  screens accompanied by a soundtrack of different musical styles meant to depict the city’s rich history and diverse cultural heritages. A series of more than 150 black-and-white photos by Constantine Manos is also displayed outside.  Most of the exhibition closes in 1978, but a smaller version then moves to 60 State Street and is shown until 1988.
