Boston Lobsters begin their first season in the World Team Tennis Association.

Owned by Robert Kraft, they play their matches at Boston University, Harvard University, and the Ferncroft Country Club before the team is dissolved in 1978. It is re-established by new owner Bahar Uttam in 2008 [2005-DD] and plays its matches at the Manchester Athletic Club. The team is taken over by the league in 2015 and dissolves in 2016.
