Ruth Batson sues a diaper service company.

In the class action suit filed by the Roxbury activist in U.S. District Court, she charges the Brookline-based Dy-Dee Service, Inc. canceled her family’s service because they lives in a minority area. The company president testifies that it discontinued service because of safety concerns, not racial discrimination on March 10, 1976.
