In the first of three such protests against airport expansion and noise, some 40 cars carrying East Boston residents drive very slowly along the airport ring road to create a traffic jam. In the second demonstration, residents create a traffic jam on the Mystic River Bridge on May 4, 1969. In the third, residents are joined by residents of other communities in another traffic slowdown at Logan Airport on May 16, 1969.
