Sugar Shack opens.

The club is operated by Rudy Guarino and located at 110 Boylston Street. Performers include James Brown, Ray Charles, The Four Tops, Gladys Knight, the O’Jays, Wilson Pickett, and Stevie Wonder, as well as local groups including The Ambitions and The Lords, who served as opening acts. It closes in 1976 [1977-Boston Magazine].
