King, Martin Luther Jr. Speech to Massachusetts legislature.
April 22, 1965
Dr. King delivers the speech to a joint session of the legislature at the Massachusetts State House. In it, he declares, “While we have come a long, long way in the struggle for brotherhood . . . we have still a long way to go . . . [and] all men of goodwill all over this nation must work together passionately and unrelentingly to solve this problem. We must be able to say that we are through with segregation in all of its dimensions now, henceforth, and forevermore.”
