Body washes ashore on Spectacle Island.

The body turns out to be that of Lynn Kaufman, a passenger on the Dutch freighter Utrecht, which had left Boston for New York the previous day. Wireless operator Willem van Rie is charged with her murder, but found not guilty in Suffolk Superior Court on March 2, 1960.
