Jennie Loitman Barron is appointed to the Massachusetts Superior Court.

The first woman superior court judge in Massachusetts, Loitman Baron had previously, she had been the first woman to present evidence to a grand jury and the first to prosecute criminal cases. She was also the first to be appointed judge for life on the Boston Municipal Court in 1937.
