Dominic Savio High School is built.

Operated by the Catholic Salesian Brothers, the school is located at 84 Horace Street. Scheduled to close in 1993, it is kept open for a time by a lay group and renamed St. Dominic Savio Preparatory High School. Girls are first admitted in 1994. The school closes on June 5, 2007. The building is subsequently used by a charter school, beginning in 2012.*
