Harlem Globetrotters play their first game at Fenway Park.

In the first of the team’s three appearances at Fenway Park, the Globetrotters beat the George Mikan All-Stars 61-41 before a crowd of 13,344 . The All Stars are led by Celtic draft choice Togo Palazzi, who had 14 points. Boston Whirlwinds beat the House of David 47-46 in the first game of the double-header.
