Egleston Square Branch Library (first) opens.

[7/8] Architect: Richmond & Goldberg. Designed in the International style, it is located on the site of the former Katherine Dahl estate at 2044 Columbus Avenue. Mayor John Hynes presides at the opening ceremony.
