Julius and Ethel Rosenberg are convicted in New York City of conspiracy to commit espionage.

The couple are convicted of conspiring to pass U.S. atomic secrets to the Soviet Union. Sentenced to death on April 5, 1951, they and executed in Sing Sing Prison in New York on June 19, 1953.
