Hailer Drug opens.

Originally Arborway Pharmacy, it is operated by Saul Grossman and located initially at the corner of South Street and Rosemary Street. It moves to Brighton in 1970, then back to Jamaica Plain at 675 Centre Street in 1970. Stephen Grossman runs the store after the death of his father. The last independent pharmacy in Jamaica Plain, it closes on November 29, 1993.
