Conigliaro (Tony) is born in Revere.

The son of Sal and Teresa (Martelli) Conigliaro, Tony Conigliaro grows up in East Boston, graduates from St. Mary’s High School in Lynn, and moves to Swampscott. He joins the Boston Red in 1964,* seems destined for stardom, but is injured in 1967.* Traded to the California Angels in 1970, “Tony C.” retires in 1971, makes a brief comeback with the Red Sox but is forced to retire due to failing eyesight in 1975, and subsequently works as a broadcaster, Conigliaro dies in Boston on February 24, 1990.
