Booth (Clark) is born in Boston.

Clark Booth grows up in various Boston suburbs, graduates from Holy Cross College, and begins his career as a sports reporter at the Quincy Patriot Ledger in 1962. He moves to television, working initially at WBZ then at WCVB for the next 35 years as both a sports and general assignment reporter. Sportscaster Mike Lynch subsequently calls him, “The Leonardo da Vinci of the journalist world in the late 20th century.” In 1975, he becomes a columnist for the Dorchester Reporter and The Pilot for more than 40 years. A long-time resident of Reading, Booth dies in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, on July 27, 2018.
