Boston Branch NAACP conducts a successful recruiting drive.

Membership increases to nearly 2,000 and includes more residents of Boston’s black community. The organization becomes more active and it shifts the site of its meetings from the Twentieth Century Club to the Ebenezer Baptist Church.
