Labor Rally is held on Boston Common.

Some 4,000 workers demonstrate at the Parkman Bandstand demonstrate on Boston Common. Sponsored by the Boston Council of the Unemployed and the Communist Internationale, the rally is held to call on the government to create more jobs. When it is over, many of the participants attempt to march on the State House, but they are turned back by police, many of whom are on horseback. Eight of the demonstrators are arrested.
