State Street Trust Building is built.

Architect: Thomas James. Designed in the Art Deco style, it is located at 75 Federal Street (220 Devonshire Street). The building’s façade features bronze panels depicting scenes of man’s accomplishments in agriculture, finance, manufacturing, mining, power, and transportation. It is renovated and joined by an addition added at 101 Federal Street in 1988.*
