Motor Mart Garage building opens.

Architect: Ralph Doane. Designed in the Art Deco style [Classical Modernist style], it is located on the former site of the Boston & Providence Railroad Station at 201 Stuart Street (then 60 – 72 Eliot Street) in Park Square. The largest garage in the world at the time, it includes a car wash, a Texaco gas station, and a bus station.
