Morrissey Boulevard is completed.

[1924] Originally Old Colony Boulevard, it connects the Strandway in South Boston to the Neponset River Reservation in Dorchester. It is renamed for William Morrissey, former chairman of the Massachusetts District Commission, in 1951.
