Harleston Parker Medal is established.

Created and funded by architect J. Harleston Parker, its purpose is to recognize “the most beautiful piece of architecture, building, monument, or structure” built in metropolitan Boston in the last 10 years. The award comes to be administered by the Boston Society of Architects.
