Logue (Edward J.) is born in Philadelphia.

February 7, 1921

The son of Edward and Resina (Fay) Logue, Edward Logue graduates from Yale University and Law School, serves College, served in World War II, and directs urban renewal efforts in New Haven, and moves to Boston to do the same in 1961,* and lives on West Cedar Street. Although considered a liberal, Newsweek subsequently describes him as “[Someone who] chafed at the demands of community activists who insisted that all displaced persons in urban renewal areas be allowed to move back into rehabilitated units.” Logue run unsuccessfully for mayor in 1967,* then leaves Boston to lead urban renewal efforts in New York State and the South Bronx. He dies on Martha’s Vineyard on January 27, 2000.
