Nomination of Louis Brandeis to the Supreme Court is criticized by the Boston Post.

The newspaper publishes a petition that declares, “We do not believe that Mr. Brandeis has the judicial temperament and capacity which should be required of a judge of the Supreme Court.” It is signed by some of Boston’s leading citizens, including Harvard president A. Lawrence Lowell and Henry Shattuck.
