Abbott (W. Herbert) Inc. Building is built.

Architect: Morton Safford. Designed in the Stylized Classical style and built for a leather dealer, it is located at today’s 1 – 5 Channel Center Street (then 46 – 48 Midway Street). The building is owned today by Fraunhofer Center, a German research company, and is being renovated as a “green building.”
