48 Beacon Street is built.

[1903-M, BGL] Construction of the tall apartment building on Beacon Street prompted legislation to control the height of buildings in Boston. Henry Shattuck is a subsequent occupant as is Edwin Connor (1955-1962) in the top floor apartment. The building is later converted to condominiums.
