Women’s City Club is established.

Originally called the Ten Club, it is located initially at 39 – 40 Beacon Street. Founded by Helen Osbourne Storrow and others, its purpose is “to promote a broad acquaintance among women through their common interest in the welfare of the City of Boston and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.” The club’s membership tops 5,000 in the 1920s. The club buy its headquarters at 39 – 40 Beacon Street in 1919. It sells the building in 1992, and now shares space with the Union Club at 8 Park Street.
