John Kiley begins his career playing organ for silent movies in theaters around Boston, becomes musical director for WMEX Radio in 1936, then serves as house organist at Boston Garden (1942-1984) and for the Boston Red Sox (1953-1983). The answer to the trivia question, “Who is the only man to play for Bruins, Celtics and Red Sox?” Kiley dies in Dover, New Hampshire, on July 15, 1993, and is buried in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in West Roxbury.
