Eleonora Sears and Hazel Hotchkiss Wightman win the U.S. doubles tennis championships.

It is the first of four titles for Sears, a Beacon Hill resident. She teams with Wightman to win again in 1915, and with Molla Bjurstedt to win in 1916* and 1917. She also wins the U.S. mixed doubles championship with Willis Davis in 1916.
