Boston Normal School (fourth) opens.

September 11, 1907

Architect: Peabody & Stearns. It is located at 625 Huntington Avenue in a four-building complex with Girls Latin School and the High School of Commerce. Renamed the Teachers College of the City of Boston in 1924, then the State Teachers College at Boston in 1952, and then Boston State College in 1960, it becomes part of the University of Massachusetts Boston in January 1982. The Huntington Avenue building is now occupied by the Massachusetts College of Art.
