Boston City Club (first) is established.

It is located initially at 9 – 11 Beacon Street. The Club begins with 500 members. By 1915, it has 5,200 members and is reputed to be the largest of its kind in the world. It moves to a new headquarters (second) on Somerset Street in 1915.*
