New England Suffrage League is established.

Founded by William Monroe Trotter, the organization is launched at a conference at Faneuil Hall. Speakers include John F. Fitzgerald, Archibald Grimke, and Moorfield Storey. The group is meant to provide a more radical alternative than the national African-American suffrage organization.
