(March) Founded by patent medicine salesman Louis Liggett, it is located at 43 Leon Street. The company initially manufactures and delivers drugs to pharmacists, then opens its own chain of Liggett retail drug stores. After purchasing the Rexall chain of drug stores in 1910, it becomes Liggett Rexall Drugs, the largest chain of pharmacies in the U.S.
